The Day After

Friday, November 25, 2011
Thanksgiving was so amazing! I got to spend lots of time with my family. We had such a great time sitting together and laughing together. Though I had way to much to eat, but thankfully it only comes once a year or else my waist would be feeling it. One of my favorite things that is particularly special around the holidays is pumpkin pie, and let me tell you I had plenty of it. Unfortunately, it was raining so I wasn't able to take some amazing photos of my outfit, though I did have some photos of my favorite Thanksgiving things to share.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I am so excited. I am going to be able spend the day with my family and eat some really good food. This week has been super crazy, I must admit that it is probably due to the holidays coming up, but man do I feel worn out. I wanted to share with you some of the things that are getting me in the spirit of the holidays.

I also wanted to apologize to anyone who has been on the site in the last 2 days. I had some issues with the format and it messed some things up.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

MOD "Tristan" pizza

Just the look of this pizza my sister had today made me excited for the holidays. It is amazing to see what gets you excited. This pizza was amazing also. They used pesto sauce instead of normal tomato based pizza sauce and peppers.

"Suzi Loves Cowboys" OPI nail polish

I am LOVING this nail polish right now. I actually went to paint my nails black earlier this week, but found that it was all goopy and thick. So instead I found this chocolate color and figured it would do. I particularly love it because it is still a dark color, but has a pinch of warmth to it. I have to say that it is definitely a great color for this time of year.

Oranges

I have been having a slight obsession with these lately. This is actually the second bag we have bought in like 2 weeks. They are the easiest thing to take and go (that is probably why I have been eating so many). Also the smell of oranges is often used as a holiday fragrance so it doubles as a great snack and a holiday treat.

Fall Is Here

Thursday, November 17, 2011
Fall has been here for a while now, and it has me thinking, of all the things I am thankful for. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and then we will be into the Christmas season. Often we get lost in thinking about figuring out the schedule and presents that we might forget some of the small things that we are thankful for. So for today's post I wanted to share with you four things that I am thankful for.

I also wanted to hear what you were thankful for. Leave a comment and let me know!

1. The changing of the leaves. It is a constant reminder of how fast life moves and to enjoy every second.

2. My favorite umbrella. Living in the northwest you must have one of these.

3. My big, crazy, loud, and amazing family.

4. Being able to go to school, even though lately I haven't been thinking of it as a blessing.

For the Soldier

Friday, November 11, 2011
I wanted to start out today's post by saying Thank You to all of the service men and women, past, present, and future all around the world. You risk so much for the things people take for granted, so today is for you. I have so many family members, friends and even acquaintances that have served or are currently serving that I want to show my appreciation. Thank You!

Also I wanted to share with you this amazing organization called amillionthanks.org. This organization collect cards and notes from people, like me and you, and sends them to the military overseas for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentines Day. Since these military men and women can not be home for these significant holidays they send a little love to them. I hope you will join me in writing a few letters showing your gratitude, love, and support towards these people.

Finally, on a fashion note, last night was the "Soldier of Love"fashion show by Metropolitan Fashion Week. Even though this show was for the men, it didn't stop me from enjoying every minute of it. The show showcased clothing from DNA 2050, Trillium, David Lawerence, and Under U 4 Men. This event was put on by Eduardo Khawan, Andy Karuza, and Chris Christopher. The looks were so tailored, but also so easy for any guy to wear. The jackets from David Lawerence were amazing in the way that they were cut and if they had been a women's jacket, they would have all been mine! Also the suits were tailored to perfection thanks to Trillium and their custom tailoring. The finale was by Under U 4 Men which featured some very cute boys in their underwear.
