Safari Inspired

Friday, March 16, 2012
Seriously the weather here is absolutely crazy! Its stormy and then sunny and then its snowing the next. During this few moments between rain and snow when we get a break of sunny I run outside and grab a couple pictures. After wearing this outfit all day I realized how safari inspired this look is. All the neutral  colors are so lovely for a change. To do this look yourself use your camel or cognac color boots with your neutral jackets paired with a pair of jeans or cargo's will do wonders!

Shorts Suit

Tuesday, February 7, 2012
One popular trend for this spring and summer is the shorts suit. I personally love this trend. For me, I loves the idea of dressing shorts up and being able to wear them to the office. I have always had a slight issue with wearing heels with shorts, but these shorts with heels is something I would wear. The shorts are bit longer than your average summer short and are also a looser fit. When I wear these I don't feel like I am showing too much off, which is great on those hot summer days when you need to be dressed up. The blazer I am wearing with it is a boyfriend fit blazer, which is a bit longer making the shorts look much shorter than they actually are. This is going to be a fun look to experiment with this spring as the weather gets warmer!

25 Days of Christmas

Saturday, December 3, 2011
I meant to start this series on the first of December, but time got away from me. So I am officially starting it now. This will be my 25 days of Christmas outfits. How this will work is that I will do 4 days of different pieces of clothing and on the fifth day I'll show you how I styled it and how to style similar outfits. So here are 3 items for the first 3 days.

Mod Days

Tuesday, November 29, 2011
Recently a popular trend has been Mod looks, so I decide to put together my version of it. Since the dress in these photos is actually sleeveless I added a black long sleeve shirt underneath. Normally I am not a huge fan of wearing tights with open toe shoes, but this was an exception. I actually like these with particular shoes with tights. When you do a mod look, look for pieces that are short, with high necklines, and end to give a boxier shape. I added these shoes because they are have that inspiration of the Mod look. If you are looking for particular icons to model this look, Twiggy in her younger years is perfect.

Dressed with Wedges

Tuesday, November 15, 2011
On my recent shoe shopping splurge, I acquired these amazing new heels. I have been looking for a while for a pair of winter wedges and these ones seem to fit perfectly. These heels are going to be great for a lot of different occasions. With the weather changing an outfit like this is going to be tough to wear, but I am going to wear it as much as possible.

Since I heard there might be a chance of snow soon, let hope we can get some fun winter looks.

Comfy Cute

Thursday, November 3, 2011
Today's outfit is comfy cute. When it comes to my weekday wear I often wear things that I can be worn from school to work and then to study in later. This means that my outfits have to be comfortable enough to wear all day, but also look put together because I am headed so many different places. I chose my blue and white stripped Splendid shirt and black Zella leggings for the basics of this outfit. The Steve Madden boots were chosen because the weather is changing and boots tend to keep me just a tad bit warmer. Again I added the leather jacket for an extra layer of warmth. Finally I chose the scarf in this particular color because it is often seen in the trees changing color.

Have fun with this outfit. Add different elements such as a graphic tee or jeans to give it a different look.
