The Pink

Thursday, February 9, 2012
My sister recently got this Free People shirt for an amazing deal and I couldn't resist for too long before taking some photos of it. It is a bit longer so wearing it with leggings is perfect! Such a fun comfy shirt to wear out an about. I also got this cute headpiece with charms that hang down.

Maxi Dress

Monday, February 6, 2012
This past weekend the weather had just been so nice, that I couldn't resist taking some pictures. Two weeks ago we had snow and now we are having 60 degree days. This look was inspired by Sydney's from The Daybook Sometimes. I never thought of wearing a maxi skirt in the winter months, but it makes total sense! Why wouldn't we want some extra fabric to cover our legs and keep us a bit warmer. For this look I didn't have a maxi skirt, so I layered my Free People sweater over my H&M maxi dress. I also found these super fun headband at Free People. It's a little bit different than normal, because it sits on top of your head and is made of wire. It's got these cute little flower charms that hang down into your hair. This headband definitely is great to finish off a boho look.

5th and 6th Day...

Tuesday, December 6, 2011
First off I want to apologize for the missing yesterday's post. I have had such a crazy week with fall quarter finals and getting a cold that all I have wanted to do is spend lots of time in bed sleeping. I am now making up for missing a couple days.

Styling this look is super duper easy. All you need is a blanket type scarf, which you wrap around your shoulders and let the fronts hang loose, and a skinny belt, to define your waist. I actually wore this look for thanksgiving and it kept me not only warm, but also was loose enough that I could easily move around. In these pictures I have just a tank top on underneath, but add a long sleeve shirt or even a short sleeve one and it'll ad another element to the outfit. Accessorize with a great pair of shoeties or boots and a fun necklace. This look can be worn to the grocery store, picking up the kids from school, or even to work on casual days. Play with different scarf prints and different types of belts to make the look your own.

Now that we have yesterday's styled outfit done, we need to see what the piece of today is. It is my Hometown Heroes LOVE shirt. I love this shirt particularly because it is extra long so I can wear it with leggings and that it was only $9 (clearance rack at Urban Outfitters). The sleeves are also a tad longer than a normal short sleeved tee. For the next look that I'll be styling any sort of graphic tee will work great.

25 Days of Christmas

Saturday, December 3, 2011
I meant to start this series on the first of December, but time got away from me. So I am officially starting it now. This will be my 25 days of Christmas outfits. How this will work is that I will do 4 days of different pieces of clothing and on the fifth day I'll show you how I styled it and how to style similar outfits. So here are 3 items for the first 3 days.

3 Staples

Wednesday, November 30, 2011
For this week 3 Staples Christmas and the upcoming holidays have been a major influence. Well I say it is a major influence because it is literally everywhere. I am not complaining about this, because I love the holidays. So here are my 3 Staples of the week:

Basketball

This week was the first game of the season for my sisters team, and that means I am going to be spending lots of time watching the game. These games are so much fun for me hang out and watch. She has become so good over the years it is just unbelievable.

Starbucks Holiday Drinks

I typically drink a peppermint mocha, but there is something that tastes different about it when its cold outside. Over time this has been a staple in my week. I love going to Starbucks grabbing my mocha and sitting down and people watching.

Free People Ethnic Print Scarf

My sister and I got this scarf a few weeks ago for a steal, and so far I love wearing it. It is super warm so it keeps me warm even though it is freezing outside. The scarf is mostly brown with pieces of cream, red, and blue. This color combo really brings warmth, which is always good.

The Color Purple

Monday, October 24, 2011
You can almost always find the color purple in my outfit somewhere, from a purple shirt to my rain boots and even my phone cover. This outfits was obviously inspired by my favorite color. I kept it simple with not too much purple, but enough to notice it. It seems that my rain boots have been going with every outfit lately so here they are again. After today it may be a while before you see them in a new post.

Fall For It

Friday, October 21, 2011
Happy Friday Everyone. Since there is no denying that fall is officially here, I wanted to share one of my favorite fall outfits. The thing about fall is it about being comfy. You'll want to wear something warm so something like a sweater is great. Another thing you might worry about is your shoes, it is never fun having we feet. So, the solution for me is boots. Many might say I own way too many pairs, but I wear them almost everyday.

P.S. What do you guys think of my hair color? It is a bit darker than before.
